This is my life! I have tried to please my parents and gain their approval my whole life and have realized that I have lived my life according to what they wanted for me and lost myself. Now I am trying to find who I am at age 55. It is difficult to change course, but words and inspiration such as these remind me that I am unique to this world and ok. Thank you
I can relate to what Anonymous says. I have always been a "people pleaser" all my life. Trying to make everybody happy, even sacrificing myself. Very hard lesson to learn.
